Dan Brooks Recognized by Worldwide Branding for Excellence in Executive Training

At the helm of his own account management training and consulting firm, Mr. Brooks demonstrates an expertise in strategic planning and executive training that he has developed over 29 years. He believes that clear and effective communication is essential to the success of any business. "When I served as a pilot for the U.S. Air Force, the ability to quickly identify and articulate critical issues proved the margin between mission success and failure, I believe business communication is just as important," he said in a recent interview. When asked about the most gratifying part of his career, Mr. Brooks notes his ability to empower others.

Each day, Mr. Brooks is responsible for strategic planning, advocacy development and management, executive level presence, as well as account management for several key Brooks' clients. In addition, he focuses on researching, forecasting, and presenting the significant impact information technology exerts on health care and the pharmaceutical industry. He is the author of the recently released book, "Carpei Audientiam: Executive Level Presence: Seize Your Audience--Project Competence--Instill Confidence You Can Get the Job Done."

Mr. Brooks has direct experience developing go-to-market strategies and implementation plans for a number of specialty drugs. Specifically, he has led projects in the transplant (nephrology), oncology, HCV, hematology, and osteoporosis markets; the latter including an in-depth analysis of the Federal prescription drug market for one of the largest pharmaceutical and consumer product companies in the world. Beyond his go-to-market experience with specialty drugs, Mr. Brooks has also facilitated the strategic planning of five managed care companies as well as a retail pharmacy chain. He is intimately experienced with managed care companies' critical business issues, their executive decision processes, and how they impact the prescription drug market.

Prior to establishing The Brooks Group, Mr. Brooks was a Senior Director of Business Development with Wang Global. In this role Mr. Brooks served as the National Account Director for Wang Global's strategic partnership with Microsoft. Mr. Brooks pioneered joint Wang/Microsoft business teams that worked closely with the senior management of both corporations in coordinating and implementing strategies that ultimately became best practices for how Wang and Microsoft go to market.

Mr. Brooks is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and holds an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology. While at VMI, Mr. Brooks developed his management skills as a Company Commander. Following graduation, he was commissioned in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as an operational pilot, instructor pilot and flight examiner for 10 years. His experience included extensive strategic planning, operational implementation, and worldwide operations in support of U.S. Government objectives.

Mr. Brooks customizes each plan of action to his clients' specific needs. In general, he offers services including account management, market research, strategic development, executive presence tactics and overall communications training. As he looks to the future, Mr. Brooks will expand The Brooks Group by exploring new industries.
