Kraft & Associates Lawyers and Staffers Get Moving in Walk to Cure Arthritis in North Texas

    DALLAS, TX, May 22, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rainy skies couldn't dampen the enthusiasm and determination of a group of lawyers and staff members from Kraft & Associates Attorneys at Law, P.C., as they strapped on their walking shoes and pounded the pavement during the Arthritis Foundation's Walk to Cure Arthritis earlier this month in Arlington.

Kraft & Associates joined efforts with hundreds of others from throughout the North Texas Metroplex to trek the 5-kilometer route in an effort to raise awareness - and money - in the fight to cure the debilitating disease of arthritis. Organizers reported that the event had raised over $100,000 as of earlier this week.

Concern about arthritis is a personal matter for Kraft & Associates. The firm frequently represents individuals who have been disabled by the disease as they seek to secure Social Security Disability Benefits, allowing the lawyers and staff to see firsthand how arthritis affects those with the condition. Additionally, the wife of one of the firm's lawyers suffers from arthritis and has been involved with fundraising efforts to conquer the disease.

Amy Stewart, who is married to Kraft & Associates attorney Matthew Stewart, headed up a team named "BSquared" that participated in the May 9 walk. As it has in years past, the law firm threw its support behind the team, braving the elements to show support for curing arthritis.

"Arthritis is a disease that affects tens of millions of Americans of all ages, including my wife and many of our law firm's clients," Matthew Stewart said. "We are committed to finding a way to end the pain and disability that the disease causes for so many people, and improving their daily lives as we work toward a cure."

Not only did the firm "walk the walk," but it also "talked the talk" by assembling an informative webpage and infographic that provide information about arthritis and a survey about how the disease has affected individuals.

"Working to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation through the Walk to Cure Arthritis is a small but crucial step toward eradicating the pain and disability caused by the disease," Matthew Stewart said.
