BILLINGS MT, May 23, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- American Kono Group ("AKG") respectively received two interview requests from Billings Gazette on May 3 and May 20, 2015 so that they may make a story about the Kono Building to feed their local readers. To be fair for the nationwide public, AKG would like to share its official responses, as is, with a focus on the Historical Kono Building Project.
1. Billings Gazette's Question: Can the Kono building safely be occupied by businesses and employees in Billings?
AKG's Answer: According to AKG's records on this building and our investigation on office buildings throughout Montana, the Kono Building is one of the best office buildings in the state. We don't have any reason to question the safety of the Kono Building. Anybody may safely work in the building, no problem.
First, the Historical Kono Building was designed and constructed by the federal government according to the highest safety standard set forth by the federal government back to the cold war period in 1963.
Second, more than 400 federal government employees had worked in the building for about 5 decades. To date, none of them has ever suffered any illness caused by any building material in the building.
Third, if there were any safety issue existing in the building, GSA would NOT write any quality assurance about this building stating that this building is ready for immediate use without any safety issue.
Fourth, the past maintenance records on the Kono Building shows everything in the building has been strictly complied with EPA's safety standard.
Fifth, the scientific test conducted by state-licensed third party scientists in the building shows that the building's air quality is as good as fresh air outside of the building. No safety factor has been discovered from the building's air.
Finally, most large buildings in USA constructed before 1993 used the same / similar materials with the Kono Building. This is common knowledge in the world. When you question the safety of the Kono Building, you shall have more questions about your own building you are working there everyday because the Kono Building's quality and safety standard are much higher and better than your office building. The Kono Building has had federal government's close monitoring on the air quality in the past 50 years while your building has never been checked at all. You should request the state EPA to send licensed experts to test in your office building to see if your building is safe enough to work inside.
Based on the above 6 factors, if you still question the safety of the Kono Building, you shall have more concerns about the nationwide freeways, cars, trucks, air planes because they have caused and are still causing various accidents, deaths and injuries throughout USA everyday. Based on that kind of logic, you shall request the federal government to prohibit any car, plane, truck, freeway and even railroad operations in the country. However, we don't believe it is reasonable and practical at all.
2. Billings Gazette's Question: The Kono Building's website says, "If the Historical Kono Building lasts another 100 years, the direct value generated from the building in the coming 100 years may probably exceed $600 million." How is that $600 million calculated?
AKG's Answer: As a larger investment, proper budgets and financial projections are critical for a long-term success. Because of this, the calculations take into consideration a broad swath of revenue possibilities from education to events and virtual office programs. We are taking into consideration economics over the next 100 years and Kono Virtual Office's service fees, this revenue projection is, of course, a target but it is also practical considering the different revenue streams.
We are taking the opportunity to invite local investors in Montana who have interest in joining us in revitalizing this historical building to do so via our online system at: www.konomt.net/american-crowdfunding-online.html
We understand how important it is to invest local money into local projects and have has a lot of interests within Montana in terms of folks wanting to come on board.
We also wish to involve the general public as much as we can because we understand that this is their community. We invite anyone who is interested to express their opinions, make comments, and/or suggestions on the Historical Kono Building via American Kono Group's Facebook Page at: https://www.facebook.com/VirtualOffice1
These comments and opinions are a very important part of the process as we work towards the betterment of the community. Many of the constructive suggestions and comments made will be considered when we make any strategic decisions on this project. We will even offer some tokens of appreciation to those whose suggestions and comments are incorporated into this project.
3. Billings Gazette's Question: Is the building currently generating revenue? How much?
AKG's Answer: Yes, of course. We are excited that our Virtual Office program has already started generating revenue. However, because the Kono Building is a private property, per federal law, it is NOT proper to comment on any confidential business information, including, but not limited to, "how much", "who", "where", "how", etc.
What we would like to emphasize is that the virtual office business is a new industry in the State of Montana. Because of the historical aspect of the Kono Building and our unique programs, Kono Virtual Office is at the top of this industry in both Montana and the U.S. AKG is confident that it will attract more and more successful entrepreneurs and professional firms from different regions to join us as time goes by.
4. Billings Gazette's Question: Are there tenants in the building? Are there virtual tenants? If so, how many? Can I talk to them?
AKG's Answer: Yes, beyond a non-profit business, we do have Virtual Office tenants in place. However, out of respect for their privacy, as it is with any other business, it is not proper for us to give out any information on their behalf.
5. Billings Gazette's Question: Are there any investors currently funding the Kono Historical project? Where are the investors from? How many exist? How much money have they put into the building?
AKG's Answer: Yes, we do have accredited investors, and we appreciate our investors' financial support. As a private business, we respect the privacy and confidentiality of all of our investors, including both existing and future investors. We strictly comply with any and all agreements and commitments that we have with our investors. It would be unethical and illegal to share any of such confidential or private information with any third party as well as with the general public. Please understand that we are working to do things in a lawful and respectful way.
6. Billings Gazette's Question: Could you provide me with the name of the person who wrote the statements?
AKG's Answer: All the responses about American Kono Group and Kono Building are prepared by the Public Relations Department which consists of a group of specialists to work on any public inquiries. No individual person is allowed to respond to any specific question from any third party.
7. Billings Gazette's Question: Can we take a tour/photograph the building?
AKG's Answer: We would love to have you out to take some photographs once the renovations have been finished; we will be mindful of the fact that as the work on the building is being conducted it will not be open to the general public. We will have the project manager contact you as soon it is possible to schedule a visit.
8. Billings Gazette's Question: What is Dr. Hengyucius' position at Kono Group?
AKG's Answer: It seems that you have never checked our website at all. You did not do your homework before you began asking questions. For this information, you are directed to check AKG's website at: http://www.konomt.net/historical-kono-building-project.html
9. Billings Gazette's Question: Who is the CEO of the American Kono Group?
AKG's Answer: American Kono Group is a group company being handled by a management group in the USA. As a private company, AKG may or may not release its management information as per US law. However, AKG is very friendly and open. Any company news will be released on AKG's official website at: www.konomt.net
10. Beyond the above answers, AKG would like to make clear that we, as a company, have wanted to invest in communities that are striving to operate in such a way as to be sustainable. We believe that repurposing this building is a way in which we can add to the community and offer a sustainable resource for many years to come. We have put together a team of experts who understand the scope of the project and who are just as excited as we are to undertake this historical restoration.
