ST. LOUIS, MO, May 29, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The St. Louis Chapter of the professional networking group Financial Executives International (FEI-STL) raised $5,000 for local organization Aim High during its annual golf benefit on May 19. Aim High is a tuition-free personal and academic enrichment program that annually serves and supports more than 300 motivated middle school students from high-risk communities in the St. Louis area.
"We will use the $5,000 donation from Financial Executives International-St. Louis to help support our 2015 summer program," said Julie Angelica, executive director of Aim High. "All of our students attend our programs at no cost because of generous donations from local organizations, including FEI-STL. The funds will be used to supply daily lunches and snacks for students, school supplies and buses to transport them to and from the program each day."
Each year, the FEI-STL identifies a local non-profit organization that benefits the community through educational programs and initiatives. Aim High's structured summer and school year program focuses on core school subjects and individual development, and all participants are encouraged to grow academically, graduate high school and continue their education.
"The local FEI chapter has always shown support for local organizations that encourage education," said Tim Vosse, FEI-STL president. "Aim High is a great fit, and we know the money will be going to a worthwhile cause."
FEI is the premier association for senior financial executives throughout the world. FEI-STL holds monthly meetings that include presentations by the area's top business professionals as well as networking and problem- solving opportunities for senior financial executives throughout the St. Louis region.
