Battery Power: Alzheimer's Association, Orange County, Los Angeles Angels Strike Partnership

    IRVINE, CA, May 29, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alzheimer's Association, Orange County (AAOC), the leading organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research, today announced a 2015 partnership with the Los Angeles Angels. With more than 84,000 Orange County individuals currently living with Alzheimer's, the partnership, which originally began in 2012, once again aligns two prominent organizations in the fight against a tragic disease.

Included in this year's agreement, the iconic 230-foot sign at Angel Stadium will glow purple after every Angels victory in June - in honor of Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month. Additionally, one of AAOC's three annual Walk to End Alzheimer's events will be held at Angel Stadium on November 14.

"Our goal is to elevate awareness of Alzheimer's disease so we can reach more Orange County families in need of free resources to help care for their loved ones," said Jim McAleer, CEO and president of AAOC.
