LAS VEGAS, NV, June 01, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In celebration of Father's Day, Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours' is cutting prices on select adventures that will make this Dad's Day one he'll never forget.
Father's Day, which is on Sunday, June 21, 2015, is typically a huge holiday for National Park tours that depart from Las Vegas and the South Rim in Tusayan, AZ. Tours will be available throughout the day on a regular schedule.
There are two Las Vegas flights that are perfect for Dad. The first is the one called the Mega Tour. It includes a helicopter flight to the bottom with a boat ride on the Colorado River. Then it's back to the top and unrestricted access to the Grand Canyon Skywalk.
Then there's the helicopter-rafting package. This one, too, includes landing at the bottom but instead of a boat ride, travelers meet up at the base of Hoover Dam and do an 11.5-float trip down the Colorado River to Willow Beach, AZ. "This tour has become the most popular Dad's Day package ever," said Keith Kravitz, owner of Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours.

Two South Rim tours are also specially priced for the occasion. The first is the 50-minute deluxe helicopter ride. It flies over the South Rim, East Rim, North Rim and the Dragoon Corridor, which is the widest and deepest section of the National Park. "Travlers who do this flight will have seen up to 75 percent of the National Park," noted Kravitz.
Then there's the helicopter jeep combo. It's comprised of a 30-minute helicopter tour that goes from the South Rim to the North Rim and back. Afterward, guests get on a Jeep 4x4 and do a private tour inside the Park, stopping at all the key lookouts and landmarks. "The Park is packed with guests during summer," noted Kravitz. "Jeeps are one of the best options to get past the crowds."

It's also recommended that travelers consider purchasing deluxe versions of helicopter tours. These trips typically leave from more convenient locations and use the incredible EcoStar 130. "The EC 130 is an amazing aircraft," said Kravitz. "It's configured with stadium-style seats and a 180-degree windshield that offers all guests breathtaking panoramic views of the National Park."
Father's Day is expected to be super busy. As such, it's advised that travelers book their tours in advance. For best success, try purchasing tickets within a week of the desired departure date. Or, for maximum success, buy the tour immediately after lodgings are locked in. "Always try to RSVP," said Kravitz. "Doing this gives one access to the best tours and flight times."
Indeed, all the tours mentioned will be offered at a substantial discount over the Father's Day holiday weekend. In order to get those rates, travelers must purchase the trip online and in advance. Failure to do this could result in bookings at the retail rate, which is more expensive. "Online bookings are the way to go," said Kravitz. "Not only is this option the most convenient, but it's also how one gets the lowest prices."
