As a skilled practitioner in the field of gastroenterology, Dr. Mathew prides herself on her bedside manner, which, she notes, is a critical component of patient care. In an effort to best help her patients, she keeps up to date on new advances in medicine. She is director of endoscopic ultrasound at Honor Health North Mountain campus (formerly known as John C. Lincoln Hospital). She also is board certified in both internal medicine as well as gastroenterology. She has sub specialization in endoscopic ultrasonography as well as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. Her interests include pancreaticobiliary disease, colon cancer screening, and women's health.
Dr Mathew received her MD from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 2001 as well as her bachelor's degree from The University of New Mexico in 1996. She was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the American Gastroenterological Association, The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Medical Association. In 2014, she was presented with a Compassionate Doctor Award by Vitals.
