Kevin Royston Recognized by Worldwide Branding for Excellence in Criminal Justice

For the past 25 years, Mr. Royston has been nurturing an abundant skill set--one that has thrust him into the forefront of the field of social work, as he has committed himself to working with offenders throughout Cumbria, United Kingdom. A specialist in the area of criminal justice, Mr. Royston supports programs for many categories of offenders and oversees the managers of the mentor programs; he is also in charge of the development of effective and operational safeguarding policies. He routinely attends weekly funding meetings. Moreover, he is in charge of meeting with the trustees on a quarterly basis. Cumbria Reducing Offending Partnership Trust is a charitable trust organization that supports and develops projects, services and activities for offenders, ex-offenders and their families.

Mr. Royston has devised a number of programs for youth offending teams that continue to have a high success rate. He also helped to create a triage program for young offenders. He spent 25 years working in the criminal justice sector for probation, youth-offending services and third-sector services. He has attained indispensable experience in service delivery, commissioning and partnership development. He is a registered social work manager, and is currently the CEO of a small voluntary organization that works with both the National Probation Service and the Community Rehabilitation Company. He is the author of two manuals for young offenders, both published by the Children's Safety Foundation.

Upon reflecting on a rewarding career, Mr. Royston has come to attribute his success to his passion for criminal justice, ability to make changes for young people and adults within the parameters of the law, and hard work. He became involved in his profession because he had encountered problems of his own with the law and had attained first-hand knowledge of the great service provided by the probation service and how it benefited him. He wanted to do that for others.

Mr. Royston holds a Master of Law, which he received from Northumbria University in 2009. He is a member of The British Association of Social Workers, as well. In the coming years, Mr. Royston intends to continue to raise funds and grow his organization. He aspires to advise and guide youth, legal professionals and citizens about the law, and establish his organization as a leader in the field.
