When Mr. Brooks was in eighth grade, he wrote an essay in his English class, and when he was given back the paper, he found that the teacher wrote a comment on it, saying that he would make a great lawyer one day. He decided to pursue a career in the law at that point. Subsequently, after earning a bachelor's degree in organizational communication from the University of Utah in 1986, he went on to earn a JD from Brigham Young University's J. Reuben Clark Law School. Recognized for his incomparable success, Mr. Brooks has recently been inducted into Worldwide Registry. Notably, he has been featured among the Top Rated Lawyers in Litigation by Martindale-Hubbell in 2015.
