Velema brings nearly 20 years of luxury yachting market experience and sales acumen to the firm. He will be based in the firm's Monaco office.
The Worth Avenue Yachts team boasts more than 100 years of combined experience and has achieved more than $1 billion USD in sales to date. The addition of Velema further illustrates the brokerage's commitment to attracting top, proven talent and helping its clients achieve superior results.

Prior to joining Worth Avenue Yachts, Velema held several prominent positions in the yachting industry, including serving as director of sales and marketing at both ISA Yachts and Feadship, as managing director of De Voogt Naval Architects and as chief executive officer of Fraser Yachts.
Velema is a former HISWA board member, former president of the Holland Yachting Group, and founding president of Super Yacht Builders Association. He is also credited as one of the initiators of the Large Yacht Brokers Association.
