BURTONSVILLE, MD, June 04, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The American Red Cross and Infiniti HR, a leading national professional employer organization, are joining forces to continue to build on the organization's ability to connect with people during disasters.
The historic flooding in Texas and Oklahoma has killed at least 23 people since Saturday May 23, 2015 when huge amounts of rain fell in the two states. Latest reports say that four people died in the flash floods in Houston, and between 800 and 1,400 homes have been damaged.
The partnership announcement comes as a result of a shared commitment by American Red Cross and Infiniti HR to improve lives through humanitarian relief efforts, education and support services. Because of Infiniti HR's expansive national reach to more than 20,000 co-employees located within 600 businesses in 46 states, spreading the awareness about this national disaster and calling for support felt like the right thing to do.
"Together, we hope to encourage and rally folks across the country to come together to support the families and loved ones affected by these natural disasters," Infiniti HR CEO Scott Smrkovski said. "We're proud to involve the vast Infiniti HR network to join the American Red Cross relief efforts in providing emergency assistance, disaster relief and education.
