Mr. Roberts became involved in his profession because of the inspiration he received from close family members, including his father, who was a New York City police officer. Upon finishing college, it became clear to him that he should pursue a career in law. Subsequently, after earning a Bachelor of Arts in history from Siena College in 1966, Mr. Roberts went on to earn a JD from Suffolk University Law School.
