Alexander Paykin Honored for Excellence as a Commercial Litigator

    NEW YORK, NY, June 10, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alexander Paykin, Founding Member and Managing Director of Paykin, Richland & Falkowski, P.C., has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in commercial litigation.

A leader in the local legal community, Mr. Paykin focuses on the areas of commercial litigation, consumer litigation and real estate litigation, as well as commercial and real estate transactions. As a litigator handling both plaintiff and defendant representation, as well as a transactional attorney handling many complex but amicable transactions, Mr. Paykin has invaluable insight into all sides of such proceedings. This experience allows him a greater amount of foresight into potential difficulties and pitfalls, which may not be readily apparent to counsel who only handle one subset of such work. As early as 2006, Mr. Paykin was already on the frontier of the real estate financing crisis, coming up with mitigation plans, loan modification guidelines, a software system that automatically prequalified homeowners for short sales, loan modifications and deed-in-lieu negotiations, and eventually setting up a loss-mitigation company to handle mortgage default workouts in bulk (Option Next). By 2008, Mr. Paykin authored "Foreclosure Alternatives and Common Pitfalls - The Loss Mitigation and Short Sale Disaster, A Guide" (2008), which is available online. Mr. Paykin also made numerous guest appearances as an expert on the Washington, DC area radio show, "Managing Your Mortgage, with Keith Kelly".

Mr. Paykin has years of real world experience as a business executive. Prior to his current position as a Founding Member and Managing Director of Paykin, Richland & Falkowski, P.C., Mr. Paykin ran two technology companies, a real estate brokerage, a financial services company and two law firms.

Mr. Paykin received a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in 2006, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, with a minor in Applied Mathematics from SUNY Stony Brook in 2002. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the Intellectual Property Society, the New York State Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association, the American Civil Liberties Union, the American Bar Association, the National Lawyers Guild, Mass Defense, Mensa and Phi Alpha Delta. He is admitted to practice law before the courts of New York State, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. In recognition of his achievements, Mr. Paykin received the Congressional Order of Merit and the National Leadership Award from the NRCC.

Currently, his practice has three offices: one in New York, New York, one in Queens, New York and one in Garden City, New York.
