Evocativo Product Engineering Moves to Boulder Downtown

Now located in an office on the Pearl Street mall, Evocativo is driving down main street in the product development world. Just under 3 years old, the rapid success and growth of Evocativo is not a passive coincidence. Robert sees the success as a combination of hiring the best engineering and design talent and applying lessons learned in his previous entrepreneurial ventures.

In his former life, Robert designed leading edge tech devices for NASA, Lockheed, and Space-X, and is the only American to design a racing car for an Italian car company. Robert says his experience with the Italian car project renewed his passion for combining optimized functionality through engineering with designs intended to catch the eye of the consumer. From this passion Evocativo was born. His best advice to his clients starting from scratch with their products: "Believe with an unrelenting passion the value in what you are bringing to the world. Then do it."

In just 2 years Evocativo has designed and developed products as simple as microwave food covers to complex designs such as a futuristic auto suspension for the largest luxury auto brand in the U.S. Evocativo's latest project is a new wearable sports performance measuring device using technology once available only to the defense industry. The product Evocativo's engineers are most proud of? A motorized device currently in development which gives back a new level of dignity and independence to wheelchair bound persons.

Evocativo's success can also be attributed to a more client-friendly business practice. Gone is the stuffy old school engineer-in-a-closet approach, one which the client doesn't see progress until the engineer is finished. From the early stages, Evocativo engages the client in the design process. This keeps the product development cycle revolving around the client's vision, while maturing the product in a way the engineers know can be efficiently manufactured and assembled. Robert points out that many of Evocativo's clients are new to the product development arena. Evocativo once was a Mechanical Design Engineering house only, but Robert has adapted to his client's needs by offering electrical and software engineering, prototype development and manufacturing support.
