In collaboration with Daegu Techno Park, AVING News has interviewed CEO Park Chan-su from Korea Polymer (www.kppolymer.co.kr), which is taking the lead in the global precision forming industry market.

Korea Polymer was established in 1997, the year which Korean financial crisis erupted, by a group of specialists and engineers in synthetic resin industry. It is currently manufacturing many types of extrusion products like PE, POM, PEEK, PP, NY6, PEI, ABS, PC, PET, POLYKETONE, and MC nylon.

It is supplying its materials and finished products to POSCO, Hyundai motors, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Doosan Heavy Industries, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and other wholesale and retail distributors.

Its major products are standardized engineering plastics such MC nylon and POM, special products like ESD, and polyketone, all of which have finished pilot production. It also manufactured super engineering plastic PEEK on its own and started production. It has made a step forward to producing high-performing plastic like PEI, PPS, and PI.

Park said, "Korea Polymer is taking over the Asian market that was previously prowled by the European companies with its superior quality, price, and delivery. Also, we have built a local branch in Shenzhen as China's economy is booming."

He also added, "We are exporting to over 15 countries including the U.S. Australia, and South Africa, and it takes 27% of the sales. We are going to do our best to produce plastic products that surpass the current quality."
