Andrew Glyptis Honored for Excellence in Medicine

    NEW YORK, NY, June 29, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Andrew Glyptis, MD, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in the treatment of infectious diseases.

Dr. Glyptis brings nearly 20 years of professional experience to his role as a medical doctor. Throughout his two decade-long career at Mount Sinai Roosevelt and Mount Sinai St. Luke's and he has set himself apart through his skill in the treatment and management of general infectious diseases (bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites), HIV/AIDS, and sexually transmitted diseases. Additionally, Dr. Glyptis practices travel medicine which includes giving medical and preventive advice to travelers, administering CDC-recommended travel vaccines, prescribing medications to prevent travel-related illnesses like malaria, and treating infections in the returning traveler. His hospital duties include conducting consultations, giving lectures, and teaching residents and medical students.

Dr. Glyptis knew that he wanted to become a doctor since he was 12 years of age. He has always been fascinated with science, fixing things and helping others. He received a MD from the University of Athens. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the HIV Medicine Association, The Hellenic Medical Society of New York and the American Society for Microbiology.
