NORWALK, CT, July 01, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Hart Halsey has announced the launch of a new division to help Police Departments administer and manage their off-duty programs. This new division expands Hart Halsey beyond their existing business of contracting and managing teams of off-duty Police Officers to augment corporations' physical security needs.
Hart Halsey's new managed service division offers a customizable approach to all aspects of off-duty program management: client interaction, scheduling, client invoicing, officer payments, etc. "We have interacted with numerous Police Departments on behalf of our corporate clients. In doing so, it became apparent a number of Police Departments wanted help managing their off-duty programs and that the infrastructure we already had in place provided a strong foundation for providing that help," states Rich Milliman, Hart Halsey's CEO, speaking from the 29th annual Police Security Expo in Atlantic City, NJ.
"Police Departments like the community outreach aspect of offering off-duty or 'secondary employment' services. The Officers like the ability to earn additional income and local companies like the enhanced security that comes from having uniformed, armed Police Officers on-site. However, many Police Departments find it can quickly become logistically and administratively challenging to manage numerous, over-lapping off-duty details. Staying on top of which officer is working when and where, invoicing the clients, and doing this in a way which is considered fair to all the Officers - it gets difficult. A typical 100 Officer department might have the equivalent of one or more sworn officers just managing the day-to-day administration of the off-duty program. We take this burden off the shoulders of the Department," adds Adam Bryan, Hart Halsey's Head of Operations.
The Hart Halsey service is offered at no charge to the Police Departments. A small administration fee is paid by the clients to cover program costs.
