Fitness Edge and Finney Law Office Join Forces to Host Fundraising Event for Client

    ST. LOUIS, MO, July 01, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Finney Law Office, LLC teamed up with Fitness Edge, a leading St. Louis personal training facility in Creve Coeur, to host a Fitness Edge Pledge event for a client of Chris Finney, Hamdia Jama, who had been struck by a car while crossing the street.

Unfortunately, her insurance limits prohibited her from covering her medical expenses. Jared Fryman, a personal trainer at Fitness Edge, immediately put into action a pledge event at Fitness Edge to help.

Trainers Pledge Night was on Fri., April 17, 2015, where four teams of Fitness Edge employees selected teammates to compete in 10 stations with different challenges on Saturday morning: rowers, push ups, pull ups, vertical jump, wall ball throw, sled push, planks, up and over burpees, kettle bell relay, and versa climber. Clients made pledges towards Fitness Edge trainers who were competing in the event.

In addition to the pledges, a raffle basket and donation boxes were set up on Saturday for the Spring Fitness Day event. On top of that, Susan Finley, one of Fitness Edge's clients, upped the ante at the closing of the event, raising a $500 bid to a $600 bid and receiving the honors to "pie" Jared. The event was an incredible success. After raising over $21,000, Hamdia was able to cover her medical bills due to her accident, child expenses and rent in order to keep a roof over their head.
