Remarkably, an original letter written by an infamous killer from his prison cell in the United States, literally fell into our laps.
CALGARY, AB, July 04, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- 'Letters from a Killer,' as with the couple's previous novels, is an original story, not a sequel. Although brief reference is made in the book to incidents and characters from Parkin's first novel, 'Mule,' the story is a stand-alone novel.
"The idea for 'Letters from a Killer,' actually came to us while traveling through the south of England last summer," says Parkin. "Remarkably, an original letter written by an infamous killer from his prison cell in the United States, literally fell into our laps. From that single letter alone, the story blossomed in our minds and developed a life of its own."
Ms. Darby adds, "In all of our novels we have constructed the stories around intriguing facts and scientific references, which we both feel are important ingredients in fictional narratives. However, 'Letters from a Killer' is the first of our novels triggered by an incident that actually happened to us. Which, for curious writers like Peter and I, made for a pretty exciting and fun aspect to the process!"
Peter Parkin is a Canadian, living in Alberta, Canada. Alison Darby is British, and resides in the West Midlands region of England. Their novels are available worldwide on Amazon Kindle and KOBO.
