This class is designed specifically for the experienced healthcare biller, appeal/adjustments, coders, and claims analyst. Participants fine-tune their CPC knowledge with professional peers to validate their healthcare experience as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC). This is not a comprehensive basic course for teaching medical coding.
The focus is directly on the ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding manuals, which are the books used during the CPC Exam.
- Receive multi-play audio-recording identifying areas of importance for the ICD-9-CM Official Guidelines, CPT, and HCPCS Level II. Make notes and highlight direct into the very manuals you will take to the CPC Exam. Separate recordings are at least one hour in duration and address each section of the CPC Exam.
- Received weekly assignments from difficult case scenarios complete with rationale for individual coding practice. Identify and develop weakness into strengths. Weekly assignments consist of 20-25 specific coding scenarios.
- Participate in four /two hour live virtual class sessions for intensive discussion of time-management, accurate coding, and answers.
- Passing the CPC Certification Exam consist of 150 questions, 70% accuracy in 5 hours and 40 minutes. Make your preparation goal 85% accuracy in 5 hours.
