Debra Shapiro, MD, Recognized for Excellence with Induction into Worldwide Registry

    BURLINGAME, CA, July 17, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Debra Shapiro, MD, of Mills-Peninsula Medical Center, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in obstetrics and gynecology.

With 22 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Shapiro is knowledgeable in health care administration, patient care services, obstetrics, gynecology, laparoscopic surgery and team leadership. As a physician for Mills-Peninsula Medical Center, she divides her time evenly between obstetrics and gynecology, and ensures that the obstetrics and gynecological operations of the health care center are organized.

Through her hard work and tenacity, as well as her extensive education and professional background, Dr. Shapiro has developed a successful practice. Looking forward, she would like to establish herself further within the health center through an administrative role.

Dr. Shapiro is a Fellow in the American Congress of Ob/GYN (FACOG). She received an MD from University of California, San Francisco, and completed both an internship and residency at the University of New Mexico. Recognized for excellence in obstetrics and gynecology, she was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry. Additionally, she is affiliated with Mills-Peninsula Physicians Network and Mills-Peninsula Medical Group. Dr. Shapiro is also involved in philanthropic efforts, and works closely with the Peninsula Humane Society/SPCA. Further, she is very supportive of midwifery care for low-risk patients.
