Brenda Hutcheson Fickey Recognized by Worldwide Branding for Excellence in Children's Literature

Mrs. Fickey is an accomplished author with a number of publications under her belt. In addition to her writing, Mrs. Fickey is a respected educational speaker, writing lecturer and English professor. She currently teaches English and writing classes through Southern Arkansas University Tech in Camden, Ark. Her areas of expertise include language arts with a biblical viewpoint and training other teachers. In fall 2014, she began teaching college writing courses to AP juniors and seniors for concurrent credit at her local high school. Mrs. Fickey is currently working on her fifth novel, and she is open to freelance writing opportunities and speaking opportunities as well.

In 1990, Mrs. Fickey earned a master's degree in education from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She previously earned a bachelor's degree with a concentration in secondary education and English, as well as a minor in history education from East Texas Baptist University. Mrs. Fickey is certified in writing for children and youth through the Institute of Children's Literature as well. In recognition of her excellence in children's literature, Mrs. Fickey recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Worldwide Branding.
