Janna E. Schaefer Recognized as Worldwide Branding VIP in Wellness and Holistic Medicine

    DURANGO, COJuly 22, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Janna E. Schaefer, Owner and Practitioner for Aspen Glow Reiki LLC, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Branding. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

After being moved by her husband's passing from cancer in 1993, Ms. Schaefer began in the wellness and holistic medical field, culminating in her current position with Aspen Glow Reiki LLC, which offers wellness and holistic medical services. Over the course of the past two years as owner and practitioner of the company, she has provided energy work and Reiki services. Additionally, she meets with clients, and works on reflexology, relaxation, and Healing Touch.

As a big proponent of the human touch, Ms. Schaefer holds a Reiki master-level training Certification in Reflexology and student of Healing Touch attaining Level III training. She works closely with the local Veterans Clinic to provide free then discounted treatments for veterans and their caregivers.

Ms. Schaefer's husband was a Gulf War veteran, so she remains dedicated to serving veterans and military members in his honor. She completed a service training through the Colorado Department of Military and Veterans Affairs in 2012 and continues to assist veterans in her area through Disabled American Veterans. Ms. Schaefer is the Director for the Four Corners Veterans Stand Down, Coordinator for DAV transportation and mentor for TAPS (Tragedy Assistance for Survivors). She is also the co-founder and coordinator for the Colorado Gold Star Weekend, which provides a healing weekend for the families in Colorado who have lost a loved one while in military service.

Because of her work with veterans, Ms. Schaefer has completed training in suicide awareness by becoming certified in ASIST and QPR. She is also a facilitator for Hearbeat of Durango for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. She is also a volunteer with Mercy Hospice and on the TLC team there.

As a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals, Healing Touch Professional Association, Hands for Heroes and Honor a Veteran, Ms. Schaefer intends to work additional hours with Aspen Glow Reiki in the years to come.
