Specializing in psychoanalytic dynamics and talk therapy, Dr. Kalinich has been practicing psychiatric medicine for more than four decades. As a medical practitioner, she is responsible for providing skilled psychiatric care, and maintaining a schedule to provide organized and well trained health care services to existing and new clientele.
By providing the best medical care possible for her patients, Dr. Kalinich has created a successful practice. For her, practicing medicine is a gift, and being able to help other human beings who have entrusted their medical conditions to her has been her greatest reward. Having been inspired by her childhood physician, she was able to turn that inspiration into a fulfilling career. Dr. Kalinich received an MD from Northwestern Center Feinberg School of Medicine in 1969, completed an internship at Cook County Hospital in 1970, and a residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in 1973. Recently, she was recognized for excellence in psychiatric medicine with induction into Worldwide Registry. Additionally, Dr. Kalinich is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Psychoanalytic Association, and is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Further, she has been named one of Castle Connolly's Top Doctors in the New York Metro Area from 1999 to 2008, and again from 2010 to 2015. Dr. Kalinich is a past President of the Association for Psychoanalytic Medicine.
Dr. Kalinich is a board certified psychiatrist in the state of New York. She is affiliated with New York-Presbyterian University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell, and is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
