Fremont Micro Devices Ships 3.5 Billion Serial EPROMS

FREMONT, CA, July 30, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fremont Micro Devices USA Inc. announced today that it shipped over Three and a half (3.5) Billion Serial EEPROM memories. In the twelve years since the Company was founded, Fremont Micro Devices has become a world leader in the design and delivery of Non-Volatile Memory solutions in density of 1K-bit to 1024K-bit.

"We expanded our sales channel in Asia, Europe and North America to improve our capability to win designs at high volume consumer, computer and communication accounts. Many of these customers design systems locally and transfer manufacturing of those systems to Asia. They want service and support that Fremont Micro Devices can provide at both the point of design and production," he added.
Fremont Micro Devices offers Serial EEPROM IC's in a variety of five and eight lead surface mount and through hole packages including SOP-8, TSOP-8, MSOP-8, DFN-8, SOT23-5, TSOT23-5 and DIP-8. All three interface protocols including I2C, 3-Wire and SPI interface are supported. The devices have a VCC of 1.8V-5.5V, Industrial temperature range of -40 to 85C, a clock speed of 1MHZ, 2MHz and 20MH are available in RoHS or Green alternatives. The data stored will typically last for over 100 years.
