King Ice Announces Its College Scholarship Contest for U.S. Students

    LOS ANGELES, CA, July 31, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- King Ice, one of the largest E-commerce retailers, wholesalers and designers of streetwear jewelry announces its $500 scholarship aimed to help minimize tuition costs and student debt.

The scholarship, according to co-founder Derek Belay, offers a means for King Ice to give back to today's youth who continuess to incur a record amount of debt, which according to Ticas.org, averages $29,400 for a 2012 graduate. With this scholarship, King Ice looks to invest in the future generation of professional leaders, but also gain insight to one important question: the future of the E-commerce industry.

Each scholarship contestant will be required to write a 500-750 word essay discussing the future of E-commerce, an industry with a perpetually changing landscape, while meeting other entry requirements that include being 18 years of age, enrolling in an accredited university for the 2015 to 2016 academic year and maintaining a minimum GPA of a 3.0.

By making an investment in current students, King Ice can understand not only the possible changes to its industry, but provide an altruistic means to assist one of its biggest supporters. Students interested in participating have until March, 31st 2016 to submit their essays with a winner being announced on April 15th 2016.
