Olympian Gail Devers to Make an Appearance at Star-Studded Atlanta Track Meet

    ATLANTA, GA, August 01, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Expecting 5,000+ attendees this year, retired three-time Olympic gold medalist and five-time World Champion, Gail Devers will be the honorary starter of the Women's 100m race headlined by 4-time Olympian Veronica Campbell- Brown. "I'm ecstatic to be involved in this year's American Track League meet and the movement as a whole. Paul Doyle is a great friend of mine and a positive influence in the track and field community," states Gail Devers.

Onsite Gail will host a book signing for her 2014 published book, Gail Devers My Life in Story: Stronger, a rousing story of trials and triumphs during her journey as a track star. Fans and spectators are invited to join Gail for her book signing and Meet & Greet as the ATL event gets underway.

About Gail Devers:
A retired three-time Olympic gold medalist and five-time World Champion in track and field, Devers was born in Seattle, and began her legendary track and field career at Sweetwater High School National City, CA, where she spent much of her childhood and teenage years. After overcoming the serious illness Grave's Disease at the beginning of her career, Gail went on to win 3 Gold medals and in 2011 she was elected to the National Track and Field Hall of Fame, and in 2012 made the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame. Gail is also an Ambassador for the International Association of Athletics Federation, the USATF, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
