Alan S. Hilibrand, MD, to be Featured in the Upcoming Book: Top Doctors: Experts in Medicine

Dr. Hilibrand is President of the Cervical Spine Research Society, Chair of the Communications Cabinet and Board Member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Chairman of Continuing Medical Education and Board Member of the North American Spine Society, and Vice Chair of Academic Affairs for Jefferson Medical College's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is celebrating his 20th year in practice.

Biography:
Alan S. Hilibrand, MD, is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. He currently serves as Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Neurosurgery, as well as the Director of Medical Education for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Rothman Institute and Jefferson Medical College. The Rothman Institute provides all types of orthopedic care, including x-rays, physical therapy, orthotics, rehabilitation, orthopedic oncology, and nutrition and wellness counseling.
Dr. Hilibrand holds a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MD from Yale University's School of Medicine. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Michigan Health System and a fellowship in spine and spinal cord injury at Case Western Reserve University. He has been named among Philadelphia Magazine's "Top Docs" several times over his years at The Rothman Institute.
