CHATSWORTH, CA, August 05, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tommy Goodin began baseball at age three. By age 8 he made his first USA 10 u team. Tommy is a naturally talented baseball player with hand eye coordination that cannot be taught. He is a pitcher with control beyond his mere 10 years and can also play third base, first base and outfield. Tommy led his Pony Team to the 2014 Pony World Series Finals in Walnut, CA where he hit a homerun in the final championship game last August and was one of the overall stat leaders. In the summer of 2014 Tommy played in the Dominican Republic LABC with the USA Team under the direction of former MLB pitcher Jim Parque. Tommy played with PBA Encino CA 11u team, this June (2015) in the Omaha, NE Slumpbusters Tournament under the direction of Harvard Westlake coaches in Encino, CA. PBA finished as the Division II Champions in Omaha. Continuing his busy baseball schedule in the summer of 2015 Tommy was selected to represent the USA in the Cepeda Puerto Rico Baseball Classic. In July 2015 Tommy had the honor of being one of only four Southern California players chosen for the Travel ball Select All American Games in Marietta, GA. His team the Diamondbacks were the 10U champions of the tournament.
Tommy is dedicated to baseball and works out 5-6 days a week. He also boxes 3 days a week to keep his eye - hand coordination and footwork balanced. He works hard in school at Castlebay Lane Elementary in Porter Ranch, CA and his grades are strong. Tommy is under the guidance of Cincinnati Reds Eric Davis. Tommy is also mentored and supported by pinch hitting great Matt Franco.
Tommy has recently played for BB Academy under the direction of John Burtzloff head coach Moorepark Junior College. BB Academy 10u just won the Elite Travel Ball 10u League Championship of Xtreme Diamond Sports Central Coast League. Tommy continues to be hitting well in his travel ball league and hit a grand slam walk off homerun in mid May 2015.
Tommy has been chosen for the CBA-Marucci Los Angeles program for 2016 by the youth director and Southern California Atlanta Braves scout Kevin Martin. Tommy will begin this fall on their 12u elite roster.
Tommy dreams of being in the MLB someday and is well on his way. Tommy would love to be featured in any baseball related movies, commercials, print, or considered for sponsorships.
