Dr. Glynn has 26 years of professional experience, with three years as a medical director of pediatric surgery at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital. On a daily basis, she provides medical care to patients needing pediatric and general surgery, with clinical interests in chest wall deformities, congenital anomalies, inflammatory bowel disease, laparoscopic surgery, oophorectomy, pectus excavatum, pediatric gynecology, thoracic surgery and thoracoscopic surgery.
Looking back, Dr. Glynn attributes her success to the continued quality of care she provides to her patients. She makes sure to provide the best possible outcome and recovery, using only the best medical procedures and technology available. Her interest in medicine developed early on while growing up. Pursuing a medical career was a natural fit for her.
Dr. Glynn received an MD from Rush Medical College, having completed numerous internships and residencies at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Children's Mercy Hospital and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to her degrees, she is certified in pediatric surgery through the American Board of Surgery, and she is certified in surgical critical care from the American Board of Surgery. She was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Surgeons and the American Pediatric Surgery Association. In recognition of her hard work and dedication, she was presented with an On-Time Doctor Award from Vitals in 2014, and she was honored as one of Castle Connolly's Top Doctors in 2013 and 2014. In the near future, she intends to have continued growth and success with the practice. She also plans to expand the practice, especially the surgical care unit, with regards to pediatric surgery, in the Chicago region and outlying communities.
