7th Annual Back To School Jam Fest Provides School Supplies to Central Florida Youth

    FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, August 07, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- SouthPromo.com and the City of Orlando have partnered with City407, a popular nightlife host in Central Florida, event promoter RB King, Tax Me Corp Mentoring Program, Bluehouse Consulting, Ci Me In Your Dreams Enterprises, 1K Promotions and Stars of Tomorrow Foundation for the 7th Annual Back to School Jam Fest taking place on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 1PM to 6PM at the Ivey Lane Neighborhood Center located at 291 Silverton Street in Orlando.

This event was established as a way to help school-aged Central Florida children and their parents with the high costs associated with purchasing school supplies each year. Last summer we successfully provided over 300 students with school supplies for the 2014-2015 school year. This year, our goal is to collect and distribute 350 backpacks filled with school supplies. In addition to the school supply drive, there will also be other activities including free haircuts, valuable information handouts, free food, music provided by DJ Five Venoms and DJ Wild Child, contests, face painting, bounce houses, giveaways, celebrity appearances and many other surprises. This year's hosts include City 407, hip hop artists Wes Fif, and comedian Tre3.

"We are so happy that we are able to come back and host this event each year," says Event Coordinator, Jessica Williams. "The Ivey Lane community, which is one of the more lower-income Orlando neighborhoods, is often overlooked when it comes to creating positive programming within the community. This event allows us to bring the community together one last time before summer ends, while providing the students and families living within this community with valuable tools in preparation for a successful 2015-2016 academic school year."
