DENVER, CO, August 13, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- If everything goes his way, on September 19, 2015-- (G)nosis will have the full budget to bring his DayDreams of The DayDreamer Album into reality. (G)nosis, a TIMELESS Classic music artist who has long worked in various mediums of the entertainment industry, and has always had a prowess with words, is now attempting to raise the entire amount on the popular-crowdfunding website Kickstarter, for his debut album, The DayDreamer, by celebrating the completion of a tumultuous journey he says highlights "The TIMELESS journey we all travel in life, from birth to death, darkness to light."
According to their website, "Kickstarter.com is a new way to fund creative ideas and ambitious endeavors... [and] is powered by a unique all-or-nothing funding method where projects must be fully-funded or no money changes hands." (G)nosis really took the sites mantra to heart by launching not only an ambitious campaign seeking $40,000 with many fascinating prizes, but taking it a step further in self-funding a documentary entitled "The Road To (G)nosis: The DayDreamer Untold Documentary" in part spotlighting each of The DayDreamer's that pledged their support, by asking them to send in a 1-minute video about what their dream is, and what inspires them to live it, all to be featured in the documentary as a way for him to say Thank You for their pledges. This documentary is aside from the money that he is initially asking as he says "this allows everyone who supports me, to understand that I support them and am equally inspired by the pursuit of their DayDreams." His philosophy has been that of "each one, teach one", and expressions of this can be seen in his music, philanthropy work and fans alike.
No other project- to date has set such an ambitious goal of completing so much, and giving back so much to "level the playing field on both sides," but then again no one else is (G)nosis.
"There has been a tremendous amount of discussion between my manager, studio engineer, director, producer, PR and entertainment staff about 'how much' we should try and raise. If you actually compare that figure to other independent or studio productions, a budget of $40,000 is really only a drop in a bucket... but even a drop makes a splash and starts a wave, which a single wave starts a tsunami, and we feel that we have a viable, carefully crafted plan to preserve the integrity of 'The DayDreamer' album and utilize these funds as carefully as possible however, the more we can receive, the more ambitious we can be! It would be something to watch!" he smiles, as if he were DayDreaming at that very moment.
(G)nosis last two albums under the umbrella of this concept have already stirred up a lot of attention, and praise for providing music that speaks to the ageless wisdoms of civilization, and the best part is that he does this without a single curse word, making it enticing for the likes of children and adults - with fans spanning across all 50 states and 7 continents. He may very well serve as the model for ushering in this new wave of music savvy.
This album will utilize a number of innovative techniques, ranging from a very unconventional approach to how we process music- auditory, to the images that represent these images- visually. Each will challenge the listener to think, and feel the effects of music in a way that may seem to naturally stimulate new ideas and allow them to feel inspiration.
Monies raised from Kickstarter will be used to cover the creation of all visuals, production, recording, mixing, mastering, packaging, PR, touring and legal fees. All of this, according to (G)nosis was part of the plan: "Of course we are going to put money into our own bucket not just relying on Kickstarter, however the journey of this story is worth every cent that we can gather in addition to the money that we have already made from the past albums' successes to place into this. Each and every one of us that have a dream, as I am sure you would agree would never accept short-changing it (for ourselves or, our amazing fans) because it cheapens everything by doing so, and you lose the authenticity. For this reason, we would like to provide everyone with their worth who are involved with this project. For the fans, we are offering some amazing incentives to be a part of this journey more intimately, for the blood, sweat and tears of our team that have fought with us to bring this dream into reality, we want to compensate them- not having to call in "friend favors"."
The conceptualized albums' that (G)nosis has spawned have seemed to provide a shift in the way that music is being realized- concept albums in particular. With the release of the previous projects, he provided a song-by-song synopsis of the story that really sheds light on the beauty of the journey we awake, and sleep to every single day. This album will fall no short of the same. Crowd-funding sites such as Kickstarter have really allowed creatives the opportunity to shift the way that collaborative efforts are bringing about new work. The effects of this are still yet to be seen, but it has opened a door to how we look at, what we create.
"All I ever wanted to do was save a life... my own." (G)nosis says, "but after losing a childhood friend to suicide right after the release of The Sleepwalker EP and The Midnight Drifter LP, I realized that, that was only the beginning, and I had to save more- I have a lot of work to do, but I am extremely excited to make and share this album- the completed concept of these albums' with you."
(G)nosis has taken things a step further in honoring his childhood friend by ambitiously asking for Artists (world renown to up-and-coming) to contribute to an Art & Lyric Anthology he called "The B.I.B.L.E (basic instructions before leaving earth)". This he assured, "has no religious attempts in this book." Along side the Anthology will be an exclusive 1-night only engagement in Colorado, in which all Artists' will be creating one-of-a-kind art works for. All artwork will be placed up for sale, and all monies donated to each specific Artists' chosen charities, some of which include: The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention, To Write Love On Her Arm, The Happy Hippie Foundation and many more.
While all signs point in the direction of success, (G)nosis still realizes how far he has to go, even after the album is released. The Kickstarter project runs through September 19, 2015 at 11:59pm MDT. It is all-or-nothing, so if the goal is not met by the end of the project, then no funds change hands.
