Art! Vancouver 2015 Participants, Taisha and Skyla Wayrynen, to Show Work at Hollyburn Gallery, West Vancouver, BC

    VANCOUVER, BC, August 18, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Two of Art! Vancouver's youngest participants, Taisha and Skyla Wayrynen, are exhibiting their artwork at Hollyburn Country Club's Artist Gallery. The exhibit opens today and runs through the end of September. Hollyburn is located at 950 Cross Creek Road in West Vancouver, BC and is open by appointment only.

Taisha and Skyla Wayrynen, Vancouver sisters and art enthusiasts, have spent many years honing their craft. Taisha's mixed media artworks demonstrate Pop icons, such as Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, and Audrey Hepburn. Skyla's impasto oil paintings depict grisaille tigers and are inspired by her recent travels to India. Both girls are thrilled at the opportunity to exhibit their work.

"I always knew that creating would be a part of my life, but I didn't realize it would become a frontrunner in my list of passions," says Taisha Wayrynen.

"Art! Vancouver gave me a supportive and professional environment of which to showcase my work and I was so inspired by the experience" says Skyla. "Had I not participated in the event, I would never have gotten the opportunity to showcase my work in a gallery; this to me is a huge success".

This is the first professional gallery either girls, both under the age of 25, have shown their work.
