Michael Momont, MD, Recognized for Excellence in Orthopedic Surgery

DULUTH, MN, August 20, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Momont, MD, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in orthopedic surgery.
A board-certified orthopedic surgeon with more than 16 years of experience, Dr. Momont specializes in minimally invasive joint replacement, including the direct anterior total hip arthroplasty procedure, hip and knee osteoarthritis, and arthroscopic surgery.
Dr. Momont is a physician with Orthopaedic Associates of Duluth, which has been serving patients in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin since 1969. Orthopaedic Associates offers a complete range of diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation services with ten board-certified surgeons and a team of professionally-trained staff, including a full-service physical and occupational therapy department.
Combining his passion for orthopedics and the medical field and the satisfaction he feels when patients get back to living their normal lives, Dr. Momont has found success with his patient-centered focus. Knowing and respecting the importance of the patients' needs, he believes care doesn't end with the surgery and is keenly aware that many patients need guidance throughout the entire recovery. Graduating from University of Minnesota with an MD in 1995, Dr. Momont completed a residency at Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in 2000. He was recently recognized for excellence in the field with induction into Worldwide Registry. Additionally, he is a member of the Minnesota Medical Foundation, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Medical Association Foundation. Dr. Momont is also a former Lake Tahoe Orthopaedic Institute sports medicine fellow and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Further, he has received honors from Vitals, including a Patients' Choice Award in 2012 and 2014, and both an On-Time Doctor Award and Compassionate Doctor Recognition in 2014.
