Artmart and Artscope Join Forces to Sponsor Schlafly Art Outside Art Fair, Generate Creativity in Young Artists

    MAPLEWOOD, MO, August 27, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Artmart, the local art supply store, is partnering with Artscope to help sponsor the Schlafly Art Outside Art Fair this year. The fair is slated for Fri., September 11 from 5 to 10 p.m., Sat., September 12 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sun., September 13 from noon to 4 p.m.

Together, Artmart and Artscope will be providing a fun painting project for the young artists who attend the fair.

"We are really looking forward to seeing what these young artists come up with this year," said Keith Baizer, owner of Artmart.

Drawing approximately 15,000 visitors annually, Schlafly Art Outside is a juried alternative art fair that features quality art from over 50 locally-based artists, music, and plenty of delicious food and drink from Schlafly Beer. Attendees are welcomed to attend and support both local art and local beer.

The fair will be hosted at the brewery's Bottleworks location at 7260 Southwest Ave. at Manchester.

Artscope, formerly known as SCOSaG, has been providing a safe and educational environment for children in the Greater St. Louis region since 2002. The organization offers educational programs in Tower Grove Park and also at offsite community events and organizations throughout St. Louis. These programs are in an open format and allow children to explore their creative ideas on their own terms. Artscope is known as one of the best arts organizations for children in Saint Louis City.

Artmart is located on 2355 South Hanley Road. They are open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
