New Survey Shows that Retirement Expectations Have Changed, Reports Avanti Travelcare

    ESSEX, ENGLAND, August 28, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- More evidence has emerged to prove that attitudes towards retirement are changing rapidly. A recent report conducted by YouGov for Retirement Advantage returned the following results:

- 41% of those surveyed said that having enough money to do what they want in their retirement is a big concern
- 20% of those surveyed were concerned about losing the social aspect of work
- 20% of those surveyed said they were worried about being bored with too much time on their hands
- Financial returns on pensions and investments have been low, meaning that more people are working later, or phasing out work by dropping to part-time hours
- Shockingly, 6 per cent of respondents who were over 50 and not yet retired said that they never plan on doing so
