NEW YORK, NY, September 03, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Manhattan Film Festival made a host of announcements today. First and foremost, they announced their 10th annual edition will be hosted April 13-24, 2016. This marks a dramatic calendar shift. While there were a number of factors that went into their decision, they thought it was the best time of the year to give movie goers an opportunity to discover a diverse film lineup of genuinely independent fare.
MFF also released their submission dates and deadlines. They will officially open their submission season on September 3rd, 2015. If any filmmaker is selected, and chooses to screen at any other Manhattan based film festival during the month of April, their submission fee will be reimbursed. The submission dates and deadlines can be found below:
Early 10/27/2015
Regular 12/23/2015
Late 1/27/16
Extended 2/9/16
To celebrate their 10-year anniversary they will be inviting back past filmmakers as honorary 2016 jurors. Additionally, their popular Press & Industry Preview Party will be hosted on a cruise with the Manhattan skyline as a backdrop. The festival will build off the success of their "Pitch to the Pros" event. This year they will invite managers, agents, entertainment lawyers, distributors, and studio executives to both hear select pitches as well as advise attendees how to craft and deliver a pitch.
Finally, the festival will once again offer their widely popular Filmmaker Revenue Sharing Program. MFF was the first to offer such program which raises thousands of dollars for independent filmmakers every year. The program is technically set up as an affiliate marketing program clearing filmmakers of any red tape.
