TAMPA, FL, September 05, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In July 2015, Barack Obama signed into law a bill, raising the Small Business Administration's (SBA) biggest loan program. This will allow small businesses to receive loans backed by the federal government. James Higdon, Managing Director of direct marketing firm Event Horizon Marketing, says: "This is fantastic news. Small businesses are the backbone of the U.S. economy. With this new loan program the government encourages entrepreneurs to start their own company and invest in improving current equipment." Many start-up projects depend on the relevant funding in order to hit the ground running.

Loan approvals were put on hold when the SBA reached its annual limit for loan guarantees of $18.75 billion. After the introduction of the new bill by the government, the lending limit increases to $23.5 billion. "With the bill's signing, the SBA resumed loan approvals," explains SBA spokesman Terry Sutherland. James Higdon of Event Horizon Marketing says: "More and more people have the courage and enthusiasm to open up their own business. In the long-run, if support can be offered to entrepreneurs today, the U.S. economy shall grow and prosper over the coming years." James Higdon explains that with increased support and the provision of funding more business owners are prepared to take risks compared to the time of the recession.
