Dr. Brad Thomas is the founder of Beach Cities Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Manhattan Beach, CA. Referred to as BCO, the facility offers many modalities for customized treatment plans including on-site 3-D MRI, physical therapy, occupational therapy, chiropractic services, acupuncture, and massage services. Dr. Brad Thomas specializes in arthroscopic reconstruction of the knee and shoulder with unique treatments like cartilage replacement and stem cell treatments.
Throughout his 15 years in practice, Dr. Brad Thomas has treated multiple Olympic and professional athletes, including Eric Fonoimoana, a gold medalist in beach volleyball, and Layne Beaubien, a silver medalist in water polo. He is the team physician for the Lakers D-League Team, Palos Verdes High School and Harbor College. Dr. Brad Thomas enjoys treating people with active lifestyles and athletes of all walks of life.
Board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine, Dr. Brad Thomas excels in his field due to his own passion for sports and many great mentors throughout his training. At UC San Diego, he was a NCAA national champion in swimming, an NCAA All American. His educational background includes medical school at the University of Southern California, residency through Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and a fellowship at the Southern California Center of Sports Medicine. Dr. Brad Thomas continues to teach his skills to others as a Master Instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the Harbor/UCLA Sports Medicine Fellowship.
