TAMPA, FL, September 17, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Technology Advancement Group , Inc. (TAG ), a leader in manufacturing highly specialized rugged computer systems designed to survive harsh military environments, is featuring the Precise Positioning Service (PPS) Global Positioning System Survey (GPS-S) at ION GNSS+ 2015, the world's largest technical meeting and showcase of GNSS technologies, products, and services.
TAG's military GNSS survey system is the latest custom designed solution to come out of TAG's Advanced Engineering Concepts Center. It was specially designed for the Army Geospatial Center (AGC) of the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) who required a high-precision military GPS survey system that could meet the stringent requirements of Army surveyors deployed in the field. TAG was chosen because of its ability to integrate the advanced positioning technologies that are required of the program. TAG's military GNSS survey system will deliver enhanced on-site GPS positioning with centimeter-level accuracy using Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) software combined with wireless data from the reference station and rover units.
For over 30 years TAG has continually focused on delivering advanced engineering solutions that continually meet evolving technology and military requirements. To learn more about TAG's PPS GPS Military Survey System attendees will have the opportunity to view the system at booth #102, or visit http://www.tag.com/gps-s.
This year's ION GNSS+ conference will bring together international leaders in GNSS and related positioning, navigation, and timing fields to present new research, introduce new technologies, discuss current policies, view product demonstrations, and exchange ideas for future innovations. For more information about ION GNSS+ 2015, visit http://www.ion.org/gnss.
TAG is a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) is a 30 year old company that manufactures highly specialized rugged computer systems designed to survive harsh military environments. TAG's headquarters, located on our 8-acre campus in Dulles, Virginia, includes 35,000 sq. ft. of research and development, systems manufacturing, and Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT/HASS) capabilities. Specializing in Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) technologies, TAG's Precise Positioning Service, Global Positioning System-Survey (PPS GPS-S) is the Army Program of Record for geodetic, construction, and airfield survey. TAG's strength is meeting unique military program requirements, as evidenced by approximately 20,000 TAG systems deployed across the DoD today. TAG gets it done when others fail.
