SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, September 20, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- New research conducted by online personalisation firm Monetate has found that whilst more people than ever before may be using mobile devices, mobile shopping is on a sharp decline. The study, which was reported by Marketing Week on the 21st August 2015, in their article 'Mobile shopping pushes down average spend online', found that the average conversion rate of mobile shopping customers is down from 2.54% to 2.32%. The rate in which customers add products to their online shopping cart in order to make a purchase has also fallen significantly, from 8.31% in 2014 to 7.39%. The research also highlighted a drop in the value of products customers are purchasing online through mobile devices. Whilst the average spend for online shopping from a desktop computer has risen, the average order value from mobile devices has fallen from $154.71 to $131.36.
About AusCorp Connect: http://www.auscorpconnect.com/
This sharp drop in the performance of mobile shopping has caused unease among marketers, many of which have planned to invest heavily in the medium over the coming months. Auscorp Connect, a Sydney based sales and event marketing firm however, are unsurprised by the results of the study, and believe that despite enthusiasm from marketing professionals, mobile marketing is still plagued with issues and professionals should still be focused on 'cross-channel marketing'. Firstly, the firm believe a number of brands are trying to run before they can walk when it comes to optimizing their mobile experience. In a struggle to remain relevant and ahead of their competitors many brands are currently running websites which are not fully optimised for mobile, meaning that customers are likely to experience a disrupted and frustrating online experience when trying to access a brand through mobile technology. Secondly, many consumers are still unsure of the security of purchasing through a mobile device and that high profile news reports of brands 'losing' consumer information has led to many consumers not trusting mobile purchasing.
Auscorp Connect believe that rather than focusing on pushing mobile shopping, brands should recognise and honour how their customers prefer to use mobile technologies. The majority of consumers use these technologies to research brands and seek out the best deals for them, before using another means to actually implement their purchase. Auscorp Connect believe that the future of successful marketing lies in making this information readily available online, but aligning it with a direct marketing solution through which customers are able to interact face to face with a brand during the purchase process. Not only will this allow brands to gain a better understanding of their target consumers, it will also provide them with the opportunity to personalise the customer experience and build more meaningful connections with their audience.
Auscorp Connect is a leading sales and event marketing firm that offers cost effective, result driven solutions to brands throughout Australia. Due to the ongoing development of online sales and marketing technologies an increasing number of businesses are struggling to maintain customer loyalty and provide a personalised customer experience. Auscorp Connect act to bridge the gap between brands and their consumers by meeting with them face to face and offering them the rare opportunity to fully interact with a brand.
AusCorp Connect specialise in a personalised service that delivers a high ROI for their clients.
