National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects Marne J. Boulware as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

Boulware, Chief Executive Officer, Power Pals Productions, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through the National Association of Distinguished Professionals. Mrs. Boulware will be featured on the front cover of the upcoming edition of the NADP Top 10 Magazine in 2015/2016.

Beginning her career as a broadcast standards and practices executive with ABC Inc./Disney before pursuing a more creative position with competitor CBS as a development and children's executive, Marne J. Boulware eventually moved on to form her own company. Established in 2000, Power Pals' mission was to meet the need for the increase in freelance compliance representatives.

"I knew that by forming my own business and having on-location compliance, I would be able to better assist the influx of reality competition shows. It also enabled me the opportunity to work with creative people that were fair-minded in their approach to television programming," Mrs. Boulware said about her decision to start Power Pals Productions.

As Founder and CEO of Power Pals, Mrs. Boulware oversees all projects that networks require compliance services for. She selects the best person to cover a specific game show or reality show, and either personally trains the new representative or will set the pace with a returning representative. She reviews and revises all documents that are needed for the show, and once her representatives are on location or in the studio, she makes herself available to answer any questions that may arise. In addition to focusing on compliance, Marne brings accumulated knowledge of development issues, standards practices, and practical approaches related to keeping projects on schedule and within budget.

When dealing with compliance in relation to game and reality show television, Power Pals advises and adjudicates on compliance issues with network and cable executives, producers, and attorneys. For movies made for television and feature films, they offer services to assure appropriateness for viewers of all ages, including: identification of derogatory, violent, and sexual content; language alternatives and substitution recommendations; standards compliance and instructions for editors; and labeling for viewer decision-making based on FCC Guidelines. Power Pals also evaluates children's programming, recommending, eliminating, or modifying visual images and language that are objectionable for young viewers. individuals who select programming for young children.
