Community Financial Sponsors Open House Event for McHenry Fire Prevention

    NORTHBROOK, IL, October 02, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Community Financial Service Centers (CFSC) is all fired up to support the McHenry Illinois Fire Prevention District's Open House event this Sunday, October 4! Community Financial will provide food for the event, and encourages everyone to stop by for free hot dogs, cookies, and more.

"Fire prevention and protection are vital to everyone's wellbeing," explained David Barr, the owner of McHenry CFSC currency exchange. "Community Financial is thrilled to help spread fire safety awareness and community involvement."

The event will take place at Station 1 (3610 W. Elm Street) in McHenry from 12-3 p.m. in support of the National Fire Protection Association's Fire Prevention Week. This year's Fire Prevention Week slogan, "Hear the Beep Where You Sleep," encourages the community to have a working smoke alarm in every bedroom at all times. The event at McHenry Fire Station 1 will feature demonstrations with the Dive Team and the Ladder Truck, as well as a tour of the fire station, fire safety handouts, and activities for kids and adults.

"We hope everyone comes out for the Open House at Fire Station 1," said Barr. "Not only is this a fun and exciting event for the family, but it's a great opportunity to educate ourselves on the best ways to protect our family and our community."
