Mr. Walters individually and through James A. Walters P.C. specializes in property rights, litigation, malpractice and antitrust law. The practice also focuses on banking law and litigation. On a day-to-day basis, he has in the past represented banks and colleges as well as conducted mediation and arbitration duties, commonly referred to as ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution). His law firm provides legal service in areas such as Alternative Dispute Resolution, mediation, Arbitration, bankruptcy law, creditor's rights and business litigation.

Overall, Mr. Walters through various entities has over fifty (50) years of experience with handling cases that reached successful verdicts. He is currently looking to work with other attorneys within the mediation sector of law. Still going strong at age 80, Mr. Walters also been a speaker at various schools in Texas, the State Bar of Texas and other organizations.

In looking back, Mr. Walters became involved in his profession because he enrolled in a business law course, which piqued his interest in becoming an attorney. Prior to his becoming an attorney, Mr. Walters worked at three jobs at the same time period over the course of seven years while studying for his law degree.

Mr. Walters received his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he received his bachelor's degree in business administration. In addition, he was admitted to practice at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S Supreme Court. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry for his accomplishments.
