FORT WORTH, TX, October 07, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Progressive Rising Phoenix Press is pleased to announce the addition of To the Ends of the Earth: High Plains to Patagonia to our growing list. A biography that honors the Bedford family, Nelda B. Gaydou does not disappoint her readers. Beautifully written, Gaydou delivers a book filled with historic facts, exciting journies and demonstrations of love and perseverance.
"Narrated in such an interesting way, this biography, mostly about the author's parents, reminded me of David McCullough's story, Brave Companions. The author masterfully uses vignettes to share important information about her family, all the while keeping the story moving at a great pace. With the snapshot effect, one gets a glimpse of days gone by. It's a great read for all audiences, including those that are interested in Christian or faith-based books. The biography of the Bedford family is worth the read. I look forward to reading the second installment of this book in the future. Well done!" Said Anne Dunigan, Acquisition Editor.
About the book:
On the road to seek work in the cotton fields of Texas, an old Ford Model T truck breaks down and forces a change of destination that ultimately leads the protagonists to the Argentine Patagonia. Follow the anecdote-driven story of a devoted couple who spent their childhood in the U.S. Southwest during the Great Depression, met and married during World War II, and together undertook a lifelong journey of adventure and service.
About the Author:
Nelda Bedford Gaydou was born in Argentina and raised there by missionary parents from the U.S. As a child she lived in Rosario, Comodoro Rivadavia, and Buenos Aires. Nelda and her husband share a beautiful view with their three Labrador Retrievers, only blocks away from their two youngest children and four grandchildren, while their firstborn represents the family in Texas. Nelda exercises her love of teaching in her local church and works as a translator in English, Spanish, French and Italian.
Nelda is currently writing the second book of the Bedford biography, From Sea to Sea: River Plate to Lake Michigan, which covers from 1964 to the present.
