MIDLAND, MI, October 09, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Demers and Klippert bring more than five decades of combined experience in business, estate planning, health care, banking and tax law to their new roles with the firm. They will practice in the firm's Midland office, serving clients throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Demers has more than 30 years of legal experience, representing hundreds of family-owned and closely held businesses throughout the state, including many family farms. He concentrates his practice on business law with an emphasis on tax, as well as health care, estate and succession planning and probate law. He works extensively with nonprofits.
Prior to joining the firm, Demers was a partner with Braun Kendrick Finkbeiner PLC in Saginaw, most recently serving as chair of its Business Law department. He also served as its managing partner.
Demers is the past president of the Northeast Michigan Estate Planning Council and the Bay Area Community Foundation. He regularly presents on estate planning topics.
Demers holds a bachelor of arts from Michigan State University and a law degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He began his career in 1981 as attorney advisor to a U.S. Tax Court judge in Washington, D.C.
A native of Midland, he currently resides with his wife, Diane, in Bay City.
Klippert also came to Warner Norcross from Braun Kendrick where he most recently served as managing partner and chairman of the executive committee. He concentrates his practice in business law with an emphasis on commercial transactions, representing numerous small businesses, manufacturing companies and professional services firms, including accounting and dental practices. He also focuses on estate planning and trust and estate administration.
Active professionally and in the community, Klippert was recently selected to serve on the board of Michigan Chamber of Commerce. He has served on boards of several nonprofits, including past president of the Northeastern Michigan Estate Planning Council and on Studio 23/The Arts Center. He is a graduate of Leadership Saginaw and also active in the Stevens Center for Family Business Planning at Saginaw Valley State University, where he has spoken on succession planning for the family business.
Klippert holds a bachelor of arts from Michigan State University and a law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. A native of Bay City, he makes his home there with his wife, Beth, and their children, Anna and Emily.
