New Image Plastic Surgery Associates Hosting Breast Cancer Awareness Month Event

    RESTON, VA, October 13, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Roberta Gartside is marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month by inviting women in Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C., area to the New Image Plastic Surgery Associates office for a special women's event.

Dr. Gartside and her team will host a raffle on Wednesday, Oct. 14, where entrants have the chance to win a number of fantastic prizes. Attendees who bring a bra to the event are double-entered in the raffle, increasing their chances of winning a prize.

"As a breast cancer survivor, I understand just how important it is for patients to be aware of their risk factor as well as the options for reconstruction," Dr. Gartside said. "The raffle is an opportunity to raise awareness by bringing people in Virginia and D.C. together and having a good time without losing sight of this very serious issue."

According to Breastcancer.org, an estimated one in eight women in America will develop breast cancer during her life. Held annually through the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month seeks to help women understand not only the risk of the disease but how to survive and thrive after diagnosis and recovery.
