Forest Trail Academy Affirms College Readiness of its Graduates with High ACT Scores

    WEST PALM BEACH, FL, October 14, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Forest Trail Academy - one of the leading K-12 online schools in the United States - recently received its ACT College Readiness Letter for 2015 affirming the quality of education it imparts to its students. Students graduating from Forest Trail Academy achieved ACT scores well above the set benchmarks.

Not only have our students met the set benchmarks but they have surpassed them in most cases," noted Dr. Gifty Chung, Director at Forest Trail Academy.

"A benchmark score is the minimum score needed on an ACT subject-area test to indicate a 50% chance of obtaining a B or higher, or about a 75% chance of obtaining a C or higher in the corresponding credit-bearing college courses. ACT collaborates with post-secondary institutions nationwide to conduct research and establish college readiness benchmark scores for designated college courses," added Dr. Chung.

The report highlighted the achievement of Forest Trail Academy graduates on the ACT versus average test scores for the state. "The ACT consists of curriculum-based tests of educational development in English, mathematics, reading and science designed to measure the skills needed for success in first-year college coursework. This report serves as a good indication of the extent to which our graduates are prepared for college-level work," noted Dr.Chung.
