Global Voice Group (GVG), in collaboration with Avatar Technologies and MedixWeb, has been proud to participate, as sponsor and exhibitor, in the 11th Africa Telecom People (ATP) event that took place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, last week.

Every year, for more than a decade, the ATP has gathered the main actors of francophone Africa's telecommunications sector. This high-level rallying event purports to be an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs, regulators and government stakeholders to meet and exchange views and information.

Several thousands of visitors, 50 exhibition stands and hundreds of distinguished guests, including Dr. Abdoulkarim Soumaila, Secretary General of the African Telecommunications Union, and several African ministers, have participated in this major annual meeting of francophone Africa's telecoms, the main theme of which was "E-commerce in Africa".

M. Francois Dugue, GVG's Senior Vice-President of Strategy, has addressed the audience on the use of technology, such as standardized electronic invoices, to optimize tax revenue and provide emerging and developing countries with innovative financing mechanisms for development.
