In honor of PINKTOBER , PODS of Houston will sponsor the Intimate 100.3 The BULL's Survivors Dinner with hot, new country artists Kelsea Ballerini and CAM. A PODS container will also be completely wrapped in pink and placed out front of the Hard Rock Cafe - Houston located at 502 Texas Avenue. The inside of the PODS container will feature breast cancer factoids, photos of survivors, prevention facts and an area for breast cancer survivors and their families to share their stories.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of PINKTOBER will benefit The Rose, a local breast cancer organization dedicated to providing access to screening, diagnosis and treatment services for any woman, regardless of her ability to pay.
From Oct. 5-22, 100.3 The Bull listeners are encouraged to nominate a cancer survivor for their chance to win a private post-show dinner with Ballerini and CAM, an experience money cannot buy.
"We are honored to help build maximum awareness of breast cancer and partner with the 100.3 the BULL and Hard Rock Cafe during Pinktober," said Tim Preston, Vice President and General Manager of PODS of Houston. "We hope that our pink PODS container will leave a powerful impact on the public to make a difference and touch the lives of those who survived or know of someone who has survived this terrible illness."
One out of eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society. The PINKTOBER initiative mobilizes supporters of the cause from around the world to join the fight against breast cancer through creative and exciting partnerships, events, merchandise, & music.
